It refers to getting to 0 (zero) greenhouse gases emissions by 2050Why is it important? we need to reach net zero to meet the 1.5°C global warming target in the Paris Agreement (i.e. limit the rise in global temperature to +1.5°C vs pre-industrial era, late 1800s)What are greenhouse gases (GHG)? the main #GHG are carbon dioxide (Co2), methane (Ch4), ozone, nitrous oxide, chlorofluorocarbons#Co2 makes 70% of total GHG emissions, therefore is a key source to address in reaching net zero (but not the only one !)How's the World doing in reducing Co2?
